Greetings!!! You can call me Lou. I've been calling myself an Atheist since I was 11 years old. Since all of my friends and relatives are Religious, this is the best place I could find to exchange my thoughts with people that have the same perspective, in religious terms, as I have.

Hi I don't know any atheists in real life, either. One of my classmates in high school was an atheist, but I didn't know about it until late senior year. I haven't told anyone outside of this forum about my deconversion. Welcome.

I always find it rather odd. In my social circles religious people are often looked at as weird.

Strange that in America it's the total opposite.

Well, I don't tend to say this at anyone I just met or already know, but if they ask me I will tell them and yes, my family and friends know.
