I thought I'd be nice and share with you a nice resource for reasonably simplified explanations of physics:

It's made by the University of Nottingham, and is fairly good for the average person interested in physics. They also do a maths version called Numberphile.

Like 90% of these are just special cases of more general mathematical results.
