I can't find out how to add an attachment. I want to add an attachment of a photo of myself to members' photos.

Facebook is also another easy way to post pics here.

We removed the attachments feature ages ago. We aren't a file hosting service, and there are plenty of places where you can host images for free.
To embed an image in a post, take the image URL and place it in-between [img] tags (or [imgfit] tags if it is large). TIL about the [imgfit] tag.
Yeah, [imgfit] was invented by Darwinian to stop large images breaking the forum layout (creating horizontal scrollbars). It basically scales the image down automatically based on your screen size.

I have been seriously opening all of my large photos in PS to scale them down manually, but that is much better and much simpler. Thank you, Darwinian.
Well, be aware that the full image will still have to be loaded in people's browsers. That will affect their bandwidth, and not all of us are on high-speed connections. I'd suggest a max file size of around 300KB per image.

I don't know if even my scaled down photos are that small, lol. I'll take it into consideration for this point out, though.
I tend to use JPEG format, as you can usually adjust the quality of the image when saving it. A large image with 100% quality can be many MB in size, but reducing the quality to only 99% will massively reduce the file size to a few hundred KB, and it doesn't affect the actual image by a noticeable amount.
