It's so easy to get lost with those bloody roundabouts or if you're a pedestrian, get killed.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Some people will never understand irony.
What's troubling me more is that the picture I painted of how we English take tea must be such an internationally recognised one that it apparently cast no light on the irony of my alleged doubt.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's so easy to get lost with those bloody roundabouts or if you're a pedestrian, get killed. They're really easy, after you get used to them, they're a bit scary at first but once you cracked them, they're a piece of piss. And as a pedestrian I have grown up with them, so they're easy, you walk around them not thought them, or you use the Underpass. And if we Brits can go over to the USA and drive on the WRONG side of the road with relative ease I think you can to.

Pretty sure she'd take the swimsuit event too. But it's the mud wrestling I'm most looking forward to.

Henceforth, anyone who bags on American beer is cordially invited to hoist pints with me at my favorite pub.
Afterwards, you can STFU and be wrong all you want.

Granted; if you stump up the airfare, travel expenses, lodgings etc, I'll buy the booze.

Just great... Now I've got a mental image of Queen Elizabeth in swimwear... Forget sexy time tonight...

I can't imagine it, maybe because that's not how my brain works.

The trick to surviving as a pedestrian in DC is to always check for idiots turing before entering the crosswalk. Don't trust them to check the crosswalks. I've been known to slap people's hoods before... they don't like that, but I don't like almost getting run over.

Though filmed in New York rather than DC, the famous taxi scene in Midnight Cowboy came about in just this way. It was filmed in secret, with a hidden camera, and as Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman started to cross the street a rogue taxi driver ran the light and almost ploughed into them. Hoffman slapped the car and was about to yell out "I'm acting here", but he didn't want to ruin the take so he stayed in character (though lost his accent) and instead yelled out "Hey, I'm walkin' here!" The rest is cinema history.
