Ok everyone I'm going to ask a question that is completely un answerable on other forums and search engines. The wave bar in my Volume Control has been sliding down to 0 for absolutely no reason making the sound come out muted. I have some good anti rootkit/malware programs and a standard antivirus/spyware protection and they all say nothing is infected. I have been able to temporarily able to solve this issue by clicking run and typing services.msc. Then looking for windows audio control and turning it off then starting it back up. This fixes the problem temporarily because rarely it goes back to 0 at some point in time. Usually it doesn't within the time I'm using my computer but sometimes it does and I temp fix again. But always on start up the problem arises. This is starting to get annoying and I'm worried it may be some virus that is doing something to my computer in the background.
Other forums and sources have not been able to solve this problem, not even the geekforums. Some people have had this problem for years and go without sound, fuck that I'm not them, had this problem for a week and temp fixed at the least.
Also doing some random experiments I found out that this problem does not occur until my wireless adapter connects to the internet. If I disable it before it finds a connection the volume control is fine.
