SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah schoolteacher whose gun accidentally went off in an elementary school bathroom is agreeing to pay a fine and take a firearm safety class as part of a plea deal.

Authorities say Michelle Montgomery has already paid $200 to replace a toilet that exploded when her gun discharged in the faculty bathroom on Sept. 11.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell conservative animals that hate democracy and this country. I support immigration as a human right. If you hate this country and the people in it, then go Galt. There are plenty of nations with strict gun control policies to keep you safe from mad gunmen.

In 'murica! Last night thousands and thousands of liberals voted republican to protect the right to defend themselves from the possibility of tyrannical government. Many of them were tax raising moderates, not fucked up radicals like me. So get a clue.

Looking at the extensively liberal ballot initiatives that passed last night in districts that went republican tells the whole story of how the people have spoken.

Michael Stubbs was shot and killed in northwest Omaha on Wednesday morning. Stubb's uncle, Charles Shrum, told KETV7 that "He's got five kids that are going to grow up without a father over what sounds like a misunderstanding."

LOL, "discharged"......she shot the fucking toilet (no telling what it had done to her that day). These people.......their excuses always imply mechanical failure. It tickles me pink when people with modern firearms claim that their gun "just went off". No, it didn't, you were negligent. Own up to it douche. The worst are the ones with bolt action rifles making this claim (think about that for a minute and you'll have thought about it longer than the person who excuses their negligence thusly)...right behind them are handgun owners who, short of making modifications to their firearm - will suffer no statistically significant incidences of this particular malfunction. Even a broken trigger makes a firearm -less likely- to fire...even on purpose. The number of people making this claim far exceeds any reasonable invocation of malfunction. If it were remotely true, we'd need to deamnd a mass recall (we don't, don't worry, I would expect that nailing people to the wall when they screw up with a gun would reduce the incidence of this "malfunction" significantly).

This woman took a firearm into a school and operated it. Period. She has concealed carry, good for her. Pretty sure they don't issue permits to fire a handgun in a school (even at a toilet, even on "accident"). $200 and a class? I wish the law was always this forgiving.... Confiscate her firearm (specifically the one that "discharged"), revoke her permit, fire her, fine her for damages- and charge her with reckless endangerment at the least.

Massachusetts school will become the first in the United States to introduce a security system designed to alert authorities to the presence of a shooter in the building, officials said.

It only activates when a gun is fired. In the last situation in Washington the shooter would have already blown his own brains out by the time the cops put down their donuts and found their car keys.
