Hey, for a moment I thought they were being clever with the whole 1+1x1... mentally assuming they did this little number 1+(1x0), and was totally thinking the answer was 8.

Then I read it over, and realized I was expecting too much from the math forum Sad I totally thought it was an experiment to see if people would latch onto given answers though clearly incorrect...

No, the answer is nine according to PEMDAS based mathematics.
You perform the multiplication first which negates the last addition to zero.
You then simply add the nine ones together.

1+1x0 = 1

(1-1)(1+1)/1-1 = 1(1-1)/1-1
(1+1) = 1

1 = 0

I think it is 0.
