And what exactly IS "godly sorrow?" Kindly define it for us, please.

the godly sorrow
is expressed when the haiku
is rendered poorly
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

the fact you need to ask shows you don't have it
one thief on the cross had it, the other didn't
seems you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right

And what should Creed or anyone on this forum feel sorry for?

I am unsure what godly sorrow is either, but I certainly have humanly sorrow for people like you.

Ahh, I see! It's something where if you don't know it you won't have it and therefore since you don't know it you'll never have it since you won't be able to know it! It all makes perfect sense thank you so much for clarifying that for me I truly appreciate no seriously what the fuck is it. ._.

Unless the idea is, like...godly sorrow is to be really really apologetic or something when you do wrong in which case...yeah, sure, I apologize to people if I hurt them. but the key here is that I apologize to the PERSON, not to god, as your religion says I should. Jesus was pretty clear that if you wronged someone else, you didn't apologize to THEM, you apologized to HIM, because that delusional old sweater-monkey was such a narcissistic self-absorbed piece of crap that he had to make sure everyone knew of his victim complex...and really, when you think of it like that, it becomes clear where the Christian persecution complex comes from; it comes from their stupid, silly martyr-figure and his own endless amounts of solipsistic victimization. Hell the entire bible when talking about Jeebus Cripes [or however you spell his name] is basically one long baaaaawfest about what a victim Jeebus was. It's a big-ass attempt at a global guiltrip and fuck that attention-whoring shit.

does the murder/rapist have Godly sorrow?
thats between the sinner and God.

I love being sorry to figments of people's imaginations but you make no compelling case as to why I should be sorry to yours.

A couple of things:

1. Creed posted before you examples of how Christianity isnt as powerful as you think. But you ignored it and posted this instead.

2. You're the one making the claim, provide proof that Christianity actually is the most important historical force, and we can go from there based on the evidence you provided to back up your claim.

3. The Greeks

A non existent one.

I think most atheists have gone through a "I wish there was a/wouldn't it be cool if there was a god" phase at some point in their life - I mean the hippy happy jebus type god, not that fucking clown in the bible who kills for fuck all... but wanting or wishing something to be true will never ever make it true. Only being true, makes something true.

There is nothing that would lead a reasonable, unbrainwashed individual into believing it to be true.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

If a xenocidal fucking psychopath god existed it would be terrible, but terribly interesting at the same time.
