Precisely.

P.S. if someone tries to get you to look at something called "tubgirl" do yourself a favor and don't. Trust me. Your lunch will thank you.

I think that frankiej has it wrong c3P0 - there's nothing wrong with "taking risks" and "stepping outside your comfort zone". If you're a fire fighter or an ambulance driver - or a police officer then you get to be the person who has to get mangled bodies out of car accidents, and watch the poor unfortunate victims suffer in agony and die right before your eyes, even though you tried to save them.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

True, but not all want to become any of those professions. Having seen people die, I prefer the slow death without agony than the horrible unpredictable and painful-just-before-the-end kind of death. I'm jaded, but I still wouldn't watch those kind of videos, had I the choice.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

This is true, the graphic videos will upset most people, myself included. But if you want to watch something that you know will be horrible and confronting and uncomfortable, then go right for it.

A friend of mine saw "The Bridge" and it gave him nightmares. I saw it, and was like - are you serious, how did it give you nightmares, but I understand that even non-graphic depictions of death can be as upsetting as graphic depictions to some people, so maybe he shouldn't have watched the movie in the first place!

Well, everyone has emotional triggers that vary all over the place. I myself suffer from post-traumatic stress, and can be triggered by some things that many might find a little odd. I can perhaps see where your friend is coming from, and yeah' avoiding something that would trigger nightmares might be the best thing.
