So, to sum up so far:
1. The average age of the atheists who have responded is about 31.5 (not under twenty five as jstrodel asserted).
2. We have a mixed bag of marrieds and non, kids and no kids.
3. None of us is angry or disappointed with "God" because none of us believes it exists, whatever "it" is.
4. No one is a hedonist.
5. None of us are atheists because we want to be, without eternal consequences, sexually promiscuous, drug addicts or alcoholics. Even if any of us was any of those things, it wouldn't have to do with a lack of belief in deities, or a lack of morals. Jstrodel doesn't hold the patent on morals.
6. Some of of us enjoy psychedelic music, some of us don't.
7. No one had their atheism "transmitted" by a "Marxist". That's one of my favorites.
8. Everyone's a little bit selfish, including jstrodel.
9. My second favorite: no, our "communities" (whatever that means) are not centered around porn. I came the closest for having an acquaintance who did porn years ago.
10. None of us sees our non-belief as a political statement. That's a pretty weak political statement.
11. Although some of us admit we COULD be lured by promises of lewd, naked behaviors and mind-altering narcotics, we weren't. For most of us, it was way less fun.
