Hi, I saw your post on the shoutbox earlier.
I don't think Hitler believed in the religion he allowed. Although his parents were Catholics and he was raised with Catholicism, I think he had plans to destroy the Catholic Church after the war.
He kept them on his side to sway the masses - they kept him on their side to combat the more atheist communism - and he only arrested priests who preached against him.
That said, he had also created a Reich Church whose bible was Mein Kampf and he had been influenced greatly by more anti-Semitic German Protestants.
In other words, he wasn't a devout Christian by any means. He also had an advanced understanding of science for the time period.
Nevertheless, based on the evidence I have seen, I think he was theistic in some sense for the vast majority of his life and believed he was doing a divine duty by killing the Jews.
Indeed, Goebbels claimed Hitler's private view was, "deeply religious but entirely anti-Christian". After all, he rejected the old testament and most things "Jewy" which the majority of Christianity still accepts.
