Does the mind survive death?
I just watched this video, what do you think of this?

If this is true does death exists then? Because if we die here we are still alive in some other parallel universe?

What about our life energy when we die where does it go?

Define "life energy". Where did it come from? (Look for it there.)

I'm not really good at english.

I meant to say the energy in your body that is keeping you alive. I really don't know how to tell you this

Our energy disperses as we decay, maybe the energies contained within the brain do the same: they leak away until they are gone.

Anywho, unless we preserve those neurons, they may prove to have no further use.

I've not watched the videos, because they look kind of boring, but if the mind can be so severely altered when things happen to the brain (dementia, amnesia, other brain related fuck ups), then why would the mind survive total brain death? Of course not having watched the videos, I have no idea where parallel universes come into this. Tongue

Does the mind survive death?
I've blacked out frequently during seizures when my body is actually walking around, putting clothes away, opening doors, etc.

You don't "see darkness" or dream or anything. When you are unconscious, you simply cease to exist. You experience nothing, hence you do not "miss" life.

Kinda morbid maybe, but I'd wager that's death.

Does the mind survive death? No, why would it?

People's minds and personalities often change if they suffer a brain injury of some sort, not to mention that people with chemical imbalances in their brains can act crazy, but will act differently on medication. I think we all know that our minds exist solely in our brains, and once the brain ceases functioning that's the end of our mind. In fact, it could be argued that there's really no such thing as a mind, except for firing synapses and neurons inside a brain.

In some people the mind does not survive birth.

If the mind survives, then death has not occurred in any way that matters. But my experiences with sleep don't lead to a lot of optimism on that account.
