Co-operation is one of them, as is empathy, and an ability to value the lives and happiness of others in our group. Are you kidding me?! And you're calling me a dreamer and a dimwit? Have you been to Detriot lately? Don't! You won't find much "Co-op'ing", or "empathy"....or "value of life" etc. (June 18, 2013 at 1:09 am)Esquilax Wrote: More than that, we live in a physical world, where we can say certain things about the conditions of life; pleasure is preferable to pain, life is preferable to death, and so on. These things aren't in contention, they're simply objective facts. We can use these to build up a more complex moral system, and we have. That's why so few of the bible's commandments are actual laws; most of them don't fit into a secular moral framework, because they aren't the source of morality.Who is "we" building a "more complex, secular moral framework" right now in this country? AAS? Is anyone else believing this trash? (June 18, 2013 at 1:09 am)Esquilax Wrote: Meanwhile, your contention is that the only thing stopping you from committing evil acts is that sky daddy says not to. That you're so completely morally bankrupt and idiotic that there's no way you could figure out that killing is wrong without having it pointed out to you. That you're only barely restrained from murder and rape at all times by your book of made up fairytales. Do you really believe what you write? Or is this your lame attempt to fill a page so your buddies wouldn't think that you are the idiot that you really are? Rambling still isn't an answer. What you choose to ignore is that there is NO ONE teaching morals to our children in this country. Not schools. Not parents. Not YOU! There is a culture of death in our society. And it gets worse day by day. As the "commandments" fall, so does our consciousness. That message is loud & clear to our children! Its our actions that our kids learn from. Not some "co-op'ed value" that you think is born in them! But you refuse to acknowledge it. You point fingers, yet don't lift one yourself. You tear down any good that the vast majority Chrisitians have done, for the sins of a few. What charitible foundation do you belong to that feeds, clothes and helps anyone regardless of belief, or lack of? You point to a hand full of sentences in the bible that portray God in exactly the light you want him in. Yet ignore thousands of passages that are profoundly great! YOU take the hard look in the mirror. You are everything that is wrong with this world. The only thing important to you, is you.

You won't find much "Co-op'ing", or "empathy"....or "value of life" etc. That's cool. Let's paint all Christian churches with the same brush since it's not hard to find an example of one which is rife with criminal behavior and corruption. Empathy and human life are of no value to Christianity. Hate your fathers, mothers and children, said Christ. Quote:Who is "we" building a "more complex, secular moral framework" right now in this country? AAS? It's hard not to believe it once you take the blinders off. Christianity is entirely insufficient to form a moral framework of any value in the 21st century. What do Christians do to moral framework other than make constant attempts to tear down moral framework until it resembles something we evolved out of centuries ago? Quote:What you choose to ignore is that there is NO ONE teaching morals to our children in this country. Not schools. Not parents. Not YOU! I will teach my child morals. They just won't be morals which suggest that it's okay to commit murder if God tells you to. Quote:There is a culture of death in our society. And it gets worse day by day. As the "commandments" fall, so does our consciousness. You should rejoice in a culture of death, for what is Christianity than a cult anxiously awaiting the end of the world? Quote:That message is loud & clear to our children! Its our actions that our kids learn from. Not some "co-op'ed value" that you think is born in them! So, it's not "god's law imprinted on our hearts"? Quote:But you refuse to acknowledge it. You point fingers, yet don't lift one yourself. You tear down any good that the vast majority Chrisitians have done, for the sins of a few. What charitible foundation do you belong to that feeds, clothes and helps anyone regardless of belief, or lack of? You can stop trying to measure dicks via charity. Charity is by no means exclusive to Christianity, and donating money to your Church is the weakest, most half-assed form of charity imaginable. We taxpayers have 70 billion dollars stolen from us every year to subsidize your churches. As a human being, I donate to a handful of charities of which I am fond, and I do so out of human kindness, not because representatives of your sky daddy put a collection plate in front of me every Sunday. Quote:You point to a hand full of sentences in the bible that portray God in exactly the light you want him in. Yet ignore thousands of passages that are profoundly great! There are no passages which can make a mad god screaming for the blood of innocent children appear to be profoundly great. Quote:YOU take the hard look in the mirror. You are everything that is wrong with this world. The only thing important to you, is you. My desires are empirically more important than those of a make-believe mass murdering psychopath. Because I'm not crazy. (June 18, 2013 at 7:14 pm)ronedee Wrote: Are you kidding me?! And you're calling me a dreamer and a dimwit? Have you been to Detriot lately? Don't! Are you part of the human race? Humans together as a [whole] have murdered in the name of Godlessness! If I'm to take responsibility for every Christian that ever swung an axe...then YOU need to take responsibility for ALL GODLESS HUMANS THAT KILL! Are only Christians to be blamed for murders throughout history? What about the: Huns, Mongols, Germanic and Roman Empires? They are part of your godless heritage! Together they make the Crusaders look like Cub Scouts! (June 18, 2013 at 7:55 pm)Ryantology Wrote:Quote:YOU take the hard look in the mirror. You are everything that is wrong with this world. Rondee, the Huns, mongrols, etc.. All had their own belief system. They weren't atheist. They weren't Christian. They weren't related by their beliefs.
