To be perfectly honest, I think that's totally wrong. You could have had a very good wep developer on your hands that might've followed the Hindu faith. So what? And the applicants that said it was none of your business were right. Religion is a private thing for a lot of people, and I'm glad about that. Nobody wants to know people's religions anyway.
But seriously, that is not right. I'd say it's definitely discriminatory as well. Programming is all about logic and reasoning. If the programmer lacks logic (Theist), then I have no use for them. I find religious people not just boring, but void of logic and reasoning. For that reason alone, I'm out.

I think you are within your rights -BS. The religious are quick to point out "Company cultural fit" when hiring new staff. This same tactic is employed when looking at a mature applicant for a position in a company that is staffed by those in the middle age bracket.
Fuckem. It's your company and you need it to run smoothly. Otherwise everyone is out of a job. Staff turnover is expensive for business

I love the fact that most bigots are dumb enough to expose themselves.

I have better things to do than to justify my actions to a bunch of strangers.
No Thanks, But I did learn to keep it to myself and for that I am grateful.
Adios.
We don't care what you do, really, but isn't it odd that you'd throw a fit when people say "wtf dude!?" When you admit to everyone (strangers) that you fire people based on their arbitrary religious convictions?
You don't have to justify shit to us, really, but it begs the question, if the above is really your sentiment about the forum, why you'd even bother to post it in the first place?
One of life's mysteries no doubt.

Most of 'em seem a perfectly happy to do so.

Needless to say I hired the ones that told me they were Atheists. My ex-wife suggested (strongly ) that I shouldn't do that in the future and it is considered discrimination. Like I didn't already know or cared.
My reasoning is; If theists can discriminate against me and call me a godless communist with no moral values without even knowing me or what my views are, why can't I do the same thing?
Wanting to be fair and not a fascist, I like to get your intelligent input on this subject. Am I doing anything really wrong here? Good for you. I had a similar problem and I got rid of them PRONTO.
You did the right thing and don't let these liberal cry babies tell you otherwise. Fuck their religion. Muslims specially. Do what you need to stay ahead and fuck these nay sayers. Religious people are fucking stupid.

Riiight...because you're obviously the paragon of intelligence and reasoning yourself.
Religious people are all stupid, eh? Way to demonstrate the black and white, closed-minded thinking I have come to despise from religion. Congratulations on clearly showing the world that it doesn't take religion to cling to unevidenced, dogmatic viewpoints.

I think you mispelled your name, should be KissAss. Either that or you are actually God=BS.
I could very well be wrong, but find it curious that without introduction your first contribution here is to lend support to the bullshit in this thread's OP.

I thought so, but I checked the IP addresses. Unless God=BS is manipulating them somehow, it's not him.

No you're doing everything right. Keep up the good work.

Once he'd whittled the applicants down to atheists, them I'm sure web developing skills were taken into account.

You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
