Hi, I'm Sue and I'm an atheist. I was raised in a fairly non religious home, with a general assumption that god existed, a cultural christian home I guess. At 13 I visited a local evangelical church for an RE project and ended up suckered in. Being a teenage christian sucks! I stopped attending church when I went to university, but still held a vague belief for the next 10 years ago. I then had a brief dalliance with paganism, then developed an interest in gnoticism, through this I began to doubt the history of the bible and Jesus. Ultimately I accepted my lack of faith when I read the god delusion, it made me realise I wasn't the only person who thought it was all made up.
So that's me - hi, I am a happily married mother of 1 hurtling towards middle age whilt working full time and reading Psychology at Open University.
