The police are absolutely useless investigating property crimes. A couple of years ago I had $40,000 worth of stuff stolen from a rented storage unit. There was video of a white Blazer pulling up to the unit, a guy getting out with bolt cutters, cutting the lock off and hauling stuff off. It took multiple trips to clean the place out, and several of the videos clearly showed the tag number. The same guy hit multiple units over the period of a few days. The detective assigned to the case was told this information was available, but he never bothered to come by to look at the video. In fact fuck head told me during our one telephone conversation he had never solved a similar case. My guess is he had never tried.

This morning I get a call from the bank about suspicious charges on my debit account. Someone made a $662.48 charge at a Target in Dearborn, MI about the same time I was getting gas in Corpus Christi, TX. For the second time in less than 3 months someone has stolen my debit card number. When I filed the report (something my bank requires) I offered the Corpus Christi Police a list of the only eight businesses where both cards had been used. The local Wal-Mart, HEB, two gas stations and four restaurants. I was informed they weren’t interested in the information. He said they wouldn’t be investigating.

I've seen this video all over social media. And I've been getting some shit for thinking this, but...come on. The owner is in danger. The dog LUNGES at him. Honestly, if I had a gun, I'd do the same thing. It's a reflex.

I think the bigger question is why were the cops hassling a guy who is out walking his dog and taking pictures of THEM? What was it that they did not want on video?

Frankly, if I was the chief of police I'd fire the lot of them.

It is of my opinion the police acted inappropriately in the beginning. The end where he kills the dog makes me wonder if they were intentionally interacting with the animal to get an excuse to shoot it.

Yes, I am that cynical over the police.

And I remain so until they show better judgement preceding their outrageous acts.

A dog lunging at an officer out of the blue with nothing questionable from the police appearing before? I'd support the officer.

I agree they should not have bothered with the guy in the first place. But why would they want to shoot the dog?
