Welcome to the 21st century, people! This is what country music is now a-days. Generic pop music with country-sounding voices that appeal to teenagers.

I hate country music. I always have, and I say this as someone who was born & raised in Kansas, a place where if you don't like country music you won't be able to find a decent radio station to listen to.

Every so often, though, I find myself forced to listen to it, and these days at least it's all filled with God talk or making some religious reference here or there. At least in the 80's when I worked for my dad and had to listen to it it was all about cheating on your wife and getting drunk.

In America, country music is simply pop music sung with a twang. The twang is literally the only thing necessary to be consider country music here.
