Millennial Exodus
Quote:Articles and books about why millennials are leaving Christianity often focus on what churches are doing "wrong."

They're anti-gay, anti-women, anti-science, anti-sex-education and anti-doubt,
to name a few of the most common criticisms.

I don't disagree with those critiques, but there's another side to the story.

While Christians have played sloppy defense, secular Americans have been showing off some impressive offense, giving young Christians plenty of reasons to lose faith in organized religion.

For instance, atheists dominate the Internet, rallying to thriving websites and online communities in lieu of physical meeting spaces.

Cool. Part of that problem could be that so many Christians tend to believe the idea that "the internet is evil" and so tend to not utilize it as a resource. Not only that, but quite a few Christian websites have such obviously flawed logic and "science" trying to prove their position. When it comes to facts & logic they can't argue, and only argue better in person where they can use charisma or keep browbeating their opponents to try to get them flustered enough to look like they don't know what they're talking about. Anyone who's ever viewed VenomFangX on youtube knows that this is the way he "debated," and often refused to debate in a written forum because he'd get his ass handed to him that way.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

We tend to be smarter.

Comes from not wasting a lot of time listening to drivel.

Leveraging peoples emotions is a big part of the selling of religion......harder to do that through a keyboard.
