I'm sorry... you identify yourself as a misogynist and then go on to say the reason you hate women is because your mother sucks. Does that even make sense to you? I mean, yeah. My mom sucks in some ways. In fact, my last therapist was much more concerned with my mother's influence on me than my dad's, to whom I always attributed the core of my problems... and believe me, the problems are vast.
So, seriously? You hate women because you've had one shitty (granted, influential) woman in your life? I rarely say this, but rub some fucking dirt on it.
You need to learn to let things go. Life isn't always butterflies and dandelions. If you're so influenced by someone who's moral core isn't as good as yours, let them go... even if it is your mother. If you truly are a misogynist, that's a really big deal... ESPECIALLY being that you're a woman.
Oh, and misogyny is not a condition. It's an attitude. OP, if you just think, you can do better.

Let me go into some detail as to why I don't like women. I'm just going to be blunt. They gossip, they don't think for themselves (always going with the concensus), they don't appreciate decent men, they twist people's words and try to manipulate and shame, they play damsel in distress when it suits them and miss independence when it suits, they think that they have to behave like men to be equal (which ironically also makes them misogynists), they don't take accountability for their actions, they live worthless empty lives, and I could go on and on. Even though I dislike women in general I don't have too much of a problem with women of a few decades ago, they seem far more real and had much more substance. These days it seems like all they want to do is live pretentious, empty little lives such that that depicted on stupid shows like sex and the city and others. And they defile their own bodies with stupid piercings and tattoos which I think are absolutely revolting, it's like they don't even like themselves, to the point where they try to hide their own skin, which is like hiding themselves. My mother tried to get me interested in feminism when I was about 16 and I found it to be disgusting and I didn't want to get involved in any of that crap. I know that there are different types of feminism but whenever I talked to her about the very worst kinds (ie those that say that male-female penetration is rape), or those that advocate that men be sidelined or even removed from society altogether, she just said that I'm being stupid and that just because of a few bad eggs that doesn't mean that feminism is bad. She couldn't even conceive that if she really thinks they're bad eggs then she should be vocal in condemning them, rather than trying to shame me for pointing it out. For these and other reasons, I don't have much respect for women. But even though I'm prejudiced I think I could probably admire women from past eras, or women from certain other countries. And all of this is the real issue for me, and that's why I've had a few therapy sessions to deal with it. Not to change my mind, since it's obvious that the state of women is in the trashcan, but to just deal with my issues and my anger.

You know... sex & the city is not an accurate portrayal of real women, right?
Sure, some are like that, some are like this, some... there's enough of them to go around and please every one.... even you.
But yes, gossip is one of the main forms of female-female communication.... that's why women have awesome oratory skills and one of the reasons scientists think humans developed language.... so don't underestimate the power of gossip.... embrace it, but keep your healthy distance.
Most of my female friends went to the same University as me... and being a sciences-related University, most of them wouldn't fit into your definition of "women"
Try to find geeky lady-friends!

You're just generalizing in the same manner that a KKK member does. People need to be judged on their personal traits, not some preconceived stereotype. From this paragraph I've quoted, I'm not entirely convinced that you aren't just using your mother as an excuse to dislike women.

I've posted this skit before but thought it would be appropriate given what you've written, where if it is inevitable that criminals commit crimes, it can also be inevitable that society still punishes them:
"Welcome to another edition of Determinist Court, which you are inevitably watching"
"Your honor, my client couldn't help committing the crime. It was an inevitable consequence of the circumstances."
"I understand, just as it is inevitable that I'm going to sentence him to prison."
"That concludes our edition of Determinist Court, where all subjects are either innocent or guilty but the verdict that comes out is always pre-determined by previous events."

Any dislike that I have for women is based on experience, particularly with my own mother. Like I say she's a terrible role model and a very damaging influence. But I know that it's mainly my own problem now. However, as far as my mother, her friends, and many, many women that I've encountered throughout my life, not to mention just generally making observations, my overall opinion is that women are worthless trash. Obviously not all women but way too many for it to be just a coincidence. I find men to be noble, easy to get on with, fair, upfront, and they tend to have more of a sense of honour, whereas women are just out for themselves mostly. They sleep around with the first alpha male that sweet talks them and then they rationalize it in any way other than by telling the truth, which is that they're sluts. I don't get on with them. There have been exceptions, but that's why they stand out. They're the exception. And I certainly don't like feminism or feminists, of which my mother is one, and a very rabid one at that.

Rushing out to go to class, so I'll be very brief.
Just because you self identify as a bigot doesn't make you any less of a bigot. But I think you know that. Well. Sucks to be you.

Yeesh.
I don't know what's more disturbing...you're stereotypical disdain for women, or the altar of worship you have reserved for men. You are viewing both sexes through a distorted lens, sister.

Well... I think she's seeing men, or at least this man, through a very clear lens!
Men don't cheat on their wives... they sample.
They never say anything wrong... they're misinformed.
They never shout.... they make requests.

I'm open to that, and I know I have a problem. But it's not as though I'm making it up. Yes ok it's my experience, but my experience is very real, just like yours. I don't worship men but at the same time I see women for what they are, at least in my country, and it's ugly. If there were many examples in my experience of women who were different, I'd notice them simply because they would be a stark contrast to the norm, but it's so rare. Everyone's experience is different, I know that, but I can only make judgments based on my own. That's all any of us can really do. Even though I had a bad upbringing, and a bad mother who is a terrible role model, I like to think I'm not completely crazy, I like to think that I do make reasonably good observations. It's not like I don't have any good judgment at all, after all my husband is a great guy.
