Good answer, but it's not what I've got on the card. Actually it's that the Moon never shows its backside to us, whereas that scamp YHWH loved to flash the ol' Marmite tunnel around. Thick lips, bad breath.

My initial response to the conspiracy theorists would have been, "Had the moon landing been a hoax the Russians would have gone to Mars."

Actually, the best evidence that the moon landings weren't faked is that the Russians gave up and never tried to land on the moon. Once the race was lost there was no need to keep pouring money into the space race, especially after we stopped going there because there wasn't much to see except a bunch of dust and rocks.

I know. My main point is if one side performed a hoax then the other side would have used the same method to one up the other. It probably would have gone over their heads thinking it over now, but I don't always knock it out of the park the first time around. Assuming they'd be willing to listen to reason to begin with.

Nor would the Russians have kept quiet about our faking the landings, since there was extensive spying on each other countries' space communications back then. There were even amateurs listening in. For some reason, I could see the Russians trying to fake it, and even they didn't fake a moon landing.
