Yesterday I tore out a junction box that had lost its top hole for screwing the face plate onto the outlet, put in a new one and rewired the GFCI outlet that was in it.


24 hours later, my house hasn't burnt down so I'm in the clear!

Congrats! Every time I install a GFCI, I always find that the damned outlet itself takes up so much of the junction box that I can barely fit it in there with all the wires and whatnot. The one I installed under my sink is all bulged out. Great job, CM!

Luckie is on a constant transdermal feed of Fentanyl, and has been for over a year. And she's also on Percocet, for when the pain breaks through what the Fentanyl is doing. Imagine how much pain that must be.

And then imagine, when she goes in for a surgery, the doctors see fit to be giving her less of the pain medicine she uses at home to deal with her one problem. Imagine those doctors think that less of what barely works day-to-day is going to cover both her regular pain, and the pain from laproscopic abdominal surgery, in the same area as the pain she usually has.

Imagine how much pain she's going to be in, if they keep her on this insufficient regimen for twelve hours.

And then when you're done with that, imagine how many lawyers her family and I called this morning, when we had to wait for a new nurse to come in and actually do her job, because the night nurse didn't deign to help us.
