Just back from the sunset watch at our local beach. Bit windy and high tide.
So nice to just watch the waves, smell the salty air, watch the gulls and see the sun sink into the Indian Ocean.

I'm on my break, but I wish I'd been in the office just now to find out what happened after I just heard my team leader go in asking "Hey, what's a batty boy?!". Then the door closed so I don't know how anyone dealt with that question.
I'm also feeling pretty happy because I spoke to my sister today and have her new Aussie number now so we can keep in touch. :D
Plus I have a fancy new camera so I can go out and take photos of stuff. Wheeeee!

Bottomed out my Audi on an exposed manhole cover on my street last night. Left a trail of oil down the whole street. Had to park in the yard. Going out now to inspect the damage... hopefully I just busted the oil pan. Dammit!

I'm still unsure whether I want to watch Sochi or not.

I'm not obsessed with the Olys (or any single sport or competition), but I usually enjoy some of it if, again, I don't obsess. That's been true with Sochi. I have seen the team figure skating and speedskating. I've enjoyed the figure skating much more than I thought I would. It's been lots of fun.
Speedskating wasn't bad, either, but this was on the long track, and I much, much prefer short track. And in packs, not alone vs. the clock.
I will say I'm not much fond of the judged slopesports, like moguls or slopestyle. Moguls I would like if it were speed only.
So, what am I doing? Watching ice dancing on the web.
