That’s it! She had surgery for gastric ulcers several years ago, and the docs are pretty sure that’s what wrecked the intrinsic factor.

Woke up at 3am. Went back to sleep only to wake up at 4:30am. Been up ever since. Supposed to be taking the old man down to Maryland to visit with friends today and take him out to dinner as a surprise. I told him to dress nice. He gave me a look.
This should be a fun day.

Morning coffee. A new blend, Caribou Daybreak or something. It's fine. It was on sale for $6, and I didn't know I could buy my usual morning blend in whole bean, so that's fine.
