It's major but not life threatening.  3.5 hours on the table.   Everything went as planned.  She's in recovery.

Just when you thought that Incels couldn't get more bizarre, ladies and gentlemen: The Dogpill.

THIS IS WHAT INCELS ACTUALLY BELIEVE NOW:

I'm going to assume the first video's clips are taken out of context. And judging by his reaction in the second video, it would seem Grandizer has no comment.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.

RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Drinking coffee, reading the forums, and peeking at the news of the day. I've been very busy with computer stuff. I bought five hard disks in February to put in my file server, yielding a total of 8 TB storage (including one disk I already had). I had been planning to buy another disk to bring that to 10 TB, but some operational questions remained. I had a $5 off deal from Paypal, and I found a $3 off coupon for Ebay, where I bought the drives, but it had to be used earlier this week. So I pushed hard to determine whether the proposed solution would work. I was using my desktop for testing and it was showing all sorts of problems. It wasn't until I tried things with a different computer that things shaped up. I eventually tested them in the machine they're destined for, and things worked fine. Apparently the motherboard in my desktop computer has some issues. Anyway, I've been so busy with that, and a test reinstall of Windows (the old install is damaged), that I haven't had much time for anything else.

I had a free upgrade to Windows 10 lying around, so as long as I was planning to reinstall Windows, I decided to give that a spin. I upgraded the install yesterday morning. I only have a small selection of applications installed, as this is a test reinstall of Windows, but no major problems so far. Overall I'm happy with it. Nothing really stands out, but it's a lot like what a friend said about the difference between Windows XP and Windows 7, that it included a lot of small improvements that add up to a more pleasant experience. That's generally true, I think, though there are exceptions. (The calculator for the visually impaired comes to mind, as well as the new file explorer.)

I'll be headed to the gym in a couple hours. I've got a couple of meetup groups next week, one on consciousness and one on the metaphysics and phenomenology of Martin Heidegger. There's not a super lot of reading for both, but since I've been too busy to start, I'm a little behind the eight ball now.

House went up for sale yesterday morning, I received one offer within a few hours and another this evening, and a third possibly coming later today.

CD, that's a sign that you can go for more imo.

Possibly. We structured it to create an environment conducive to producing a lot of bids. The offer I'm inclined to accept is 4% over asking price. I've been closely watching the market at this price level and I think that offer is pretty damn close to top dollar. The trouble with trying to go higher in this market is that there's a lot more quality inventory priced not that much higher. I'd rather close fast than try to squeeze every last shekel out of it.

Right. Strike while the iron is hot instead of hammering cold steel. Looks like the market is warming up in your area? Things are cooling a bit here in southern California, at least where we are.

@Fireball

It's hot in the starter market, and my place is a good starter. In the higher valuations, not as hot but we've noticed the nicest move in ready places in our buying range are still selling pretty fast.

 I envy you the interest and excitement, but not the actual moving.

I hate moving. After 28 years, I will not be moving from here. It's possible that I will be moved by two men and a butterfly net, but not today.

LOL I hate moving too. Though....this will be my third move in five years, excluding the hobo wagon I'm living in now. We'll be in the next place for at least 8 more years, realistically more like 10-12.

We probably wouldn't even be moving now but things changed we got married last year. I'm kind of sentimental and really want us to have a place we can really call ours. Something we picked out together.
