Updating the spreadsheets where I track year-end computer upgrade cost estimates and income between now and then. I still could upgrade to a current generation Intel i9, their fastest current processor, with a few hundred leftover. Undoubtedly I'll fall short of estimated income, so I'll continue to set my sights on the cheaper i7 CPU.

Brewing a second pot of coffee, half-pot this time. I know better than to drink two full pots. I should swap my new power supply in this weekend, but I don't want to turn the computer off long enough to do that.

Going ahead and pulling the trigger on that CPU water cooling AIO that's $35 off. I don't really need it until November or December, but it looks like a will-buy-anyway proposition.

I need to hook up the RGB cable to my graphics card so I can synch the motherboard lights and its lights to something more interesting than the slowly pulsing red lights I have configured now. Purple might be nice.

Getting this week's work completed so I can go look in on the grandcats.  Granddaughter is touring a college today so she and her parents left last night and won't be home till evening.  Like I don't have enough critters to tend to right here I have four more to check on.  Two of them are pretty standoffish.  Another one eventually comes around...the crazy one flops on the floor for a belly rub every chance she gets...and you can't really ignore her as she flops down right in front of your feet.

I walked into the house to check on the cats.  I took a few steps in and was waiting for my glasses to lighten up so I could look around for the cats and get them fed.  I didn't have to look far for the last one mentioned above:

Our beagle/dachshund mix is the same way. She doesn't move when you come up on her, so I just say, "Don't worry, you're not in the way" as I step over. The bad part is that sometimes she will get up, right as we're stepping over. Dog's gonna kill one of us that way.

Wow. I went looking for a specific OLB-driven crapfest about the false equivalency between January 6 and BLM protests. Upon pulling up Biker's posting history, I was immediately made aware that it is basically nothing but one, long, diarrhetic shitstorm after another, uninterrupted by any actual substance. I may be crazy, but I ain't wading into that river of shit even if the kernels of corn in it are made of gold.

Organizing my birthday shopping lists so I can easily generate totals and fire off the orders bam-bam-bam when the time comes. I'm one gift short.

Watching game 7 of the 1991 World Series. I was excited to find baseball on Youtube, and doubly excited it was the Twins, and it being the 1991 series was just the coup de grace.

However, on Youtube, there are more ads than Carter's got liver pills. But I showed them. I used a downloader to grab the video in one uninterrupted stream.

I started panicking when I realized I forgot to include tax in my birthday gifts estimate, but then I realized that I'd already bought wrapping supplies, so I only need two $10 gift cards, putting me $5 over, total.
