What's everyone up to right now?

So, when I go up to Door County, I usually watch each of the productions put on by each of the three big theater troupes while I'm here. One of them is Door Shakespeare. This summer, they have two productions: The Tempest, and The Three Musketeers. We watched the former last week, fully expecting to be able to see the latter this week. Then, 15 minutes before showtime today, we got the message that this week, they weren't going to perform the play until we left. They gave no reason for why. And, no, it's not likely because of COVID because Tempest wasn't canceled and the two productions have a cast and crew overlap of close to 100%.

Budgeting. I kind of backed myself into a corner, money-wise. I haven't done that in a while. Too free with the money cards. What's that? Cancel orders? Heretic!

On the plus side, prices on the computer stuff I plan to buy at Christmas continue to drop. The graphics card I selected has dropped $280 since I added it to the spreadsheet.

Canceled and reordered a $400 item. This pushes charging on that item back for at least a week, maybe three weeks. And bonus, before there was a 2-week delivery window, now I have a definite delivery date.

Thinking maybe I'll wait until Black Friday on buying the monitor. Better chance of a sale and I probably would still have time to try it out before the end of the sales at the very end of the year.

It's only a few months away now, anyway.

Been browsing 700 acre plus land auction notices in S Dakota. Need to maintain. Finish the job you started before you take on a new one.

-and now, shoveling literal human shit out of my basement. This place was not designed for six assholes. It could never support six assholes, and never will. The fact that I need to satisfy seven assholes to make a profit is a counterfactual...and damning....addendum to this property as anything other than real estate. I'll end up selling this place for three times what it's worth on account of how it can accomodate three of the assholes, out of seven, it needs to operate at a profit.

AKA, The Nuclear Family™ as currently expressed in majority demographics. Less than or just one child per. I could, just maybe, meet a set of understandable bills - but I'm sure as shit glad I never had to operate on those super slim margins, as a consequence of how The Wife makes beaucoup bucks selling human bodies. A much more profitable market than the lufa sponges helpful in washing them.

Today, we’ve tried and failed to get into Not Licked Yet for the third time. So far, all but one time time, it was just randomly closed. The last time, it apparently closed the second before we came in. Due to the location (it’s at the bottom of a slope) they don’t post hours outside the Door. Their official website only lists the hours “11:30-close (hours may vary).” Apparently, according to Google, it lists “11:30 AM - 9:30 PM” every day but Wednesday. I guess we’ll have to try Thursday afternoon or Friday.

Also worth noting, went to Johnson’s Park. Got a free game of mini golf (for the most part) because the booth was unattended. We paid at the end. Also, we found out they have a new system for the ticket games: put everything on a card. And apparently, the 280 tickets (I brought them up and I counted) I earned in previous seasons but didn’t cash in would have to be given to the park and changed.
