Solved my end-of-month cash crunch problem. And I set up a new trackball for my computer, as the old one wasn't registering clicks as easily. The new model isn't as good as the old in some ways, it's lighter and the ball doesn't roll as easily, but it will work. Because I can't easily use a mouse because of my hands, and I need a left-handed controller, this model or something close to it is important, so I buy extras whenever they go on sale. I'm down to my last spare, so it's time to set up some price watches. I have looked at a model from a different brand that offers a scroll ring, which this one doesn't have. I think this model is likely easier to use, but there are an increasing number of games where the absence of a scroll wheel is problematic.
I had a dispute with an Ebay seller about returning a defective item, but I was never notified of the dispute by Ebay. So a few days ago, I contacted Ebay by phone to find out if I had any exposure to liability if the case was still pending and they decided in favor of the seller. They said that the case was closed and that I didn't have anything to worry about, but I know how sometimes service reps can give bad information, so I wanted to try again with a different rep to confirm that information. I couldn't find where I had requested a call back before, so I ended up chatting with an automated bot. The automated bot informed me that the case was decided in my favor, so not only do I not have any monetary exposure, I'm not gonna get my account dinged as a result of the seller's dispute. Woot! We be cooking with gas now!
