The agency that is supposed to provide ILS services for me called and said that they finally got the service letter agreement that was supposed to arrive at the end of November. ILS helps me with stuff that I have difficulty with due to my handicap, such as shopping or things requiring considerable manual dexterity. I still don't have a housekeeper, but one step at a time.

Making cookies, got a request. The fools must have dysgeusia.

Trying out my new TV antenna. It's hard to tell whether it's an improvement over the old or not based upon the signal strength. It seems to have fewer and less significant dropouts, but it's hard to say from a spot check. The new antenna is on a six-month payment plan, so it's only an extra $10 a month. I think I'll keep it. Positioning has a great effect on the quality of signal and I don't intend to worry about that today. At minimum, it's no worse than the old antenna, and there are other parts in the pipeline from antenna to my TV, notably the TV tuner. I may try some different tuners, or I might not. I primarily use it to watch the news and occasionally football, so it may not be worth too much further effort. It's basically "good enough."

I've been feeling off for a few weeks and today I realized that the black dog has returned.

Glad you realized what it is. That way you can work on fixing it.  I hate when it sneaks up on you like that...but I understand the feeling.

This old fart had to look that one up. I'd only heard it used in relation to sleep deprivation before.

I just figured it was a variant on Dexter's Dark Passenger.

No, it was how Churchill described the down side of manic depression.

I've used that term before, although I'm just unipolar.

Also, I finally got out today and finally got to taste the Footlong Cookie. Frankly, it was probably one of the best cookies I've had in years. It reminds me of the old days when stores sold those frozen cookie pizzas, but this was gooier than that. They included a spoon, and you will need that.
