Cleaned out my car...not that it's a mess but my glove compartment was full of registration papers and insurance cards all the way back to 2016. Got rid of all that. Also found some cables for various electronics I no longer use/need. Also dug out my old CD cases so I can revisit music I haven't listened to in a while since I will have about 35 hours on the road.

Checked my flashlight and ordered new batteries for it...it was pretty dim.

Cleaned my luggage that was dusty from sitting for years waiting to be used.

Looking forward to a week to ten days on the road...been a long, long time since I was on a road trip.

Recuperating from a wedding and reception. Tonnes o’ fun, but it went on longer than expected. I’m getting too old for this sort of thing.

Deposited another wad of cash in the bank, grabbed a Great Courses DVD set on Free Will that I was interested in, and grabbed a sub on the way home. Baseball in 30 minutes.

Don’t know why he was doing on the bike path near my home, who the shirtless guy taking pictures of him was, or why he was white. But, apparently I found him.

Trying to catch my breath. Harley escaped despite my best efforts to contain her while I was taking some things out to my car. And she was ready to romp and play with the neighbor cat. The neighbor came out and helped me get her back home. Then I tried to take out the trash and she escaped again and went on an even bigger adventure. Same neighbor appeared with baggie of meat as Harley bobbed and weaved and ran across the street and through several yards till I caught her hyper self.

We've had so much rain lately that there are little creeks running in between the houses. She's soaked...I am wet from carrying her and sloshing through the water.

I am glad we live in a quiet neighborhood with little traffic during the day. What a day. What a dog. She has no idea how lucky she is that she's really cute and loving.

Now that I'm getting older, I've been learning to slow down. Used to be a fast walker, rushing about everywhere.

My legs have gotten the message to moderate my physical movements, but my mind and mouth aren't behaving accordingly.
