What's everyone up to right now?

"For those who are concerned abouit Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was carted off the field on a stretcher in the second quarter, we can inform you that he has movement in all his extremities. Spasmodic, uncontrolled movement, but movement all the same."

Amazon Music is giving my squirrels a hard time. The music is skipping at standard quality. I know there's only 8GB or memory in this thing, but really. I'd throw some new ECC RAM in, but then I'd just have to pull it out again in a few weeks. I could just fire up the old Z77 system, but I'm waiting for Powercolor to respond to my RMA request before I do anything drastic. Besides, that box has the same CPU in it, so the difference would not be major.

Recently went to Menards to get a pocket knife that's actually street-legal for the city of Chicago (2.5" blade length maximum.) Here's what I picked out.

So far, I'm actually happy with it. It seems sharp, it opens and closes pretty easily. And the blade is short enough for the city at 2 1/8".

Guinness stout. Not a favorite, but it has to be drunk or thrown sooner or later.

What do you use a pocket knife for? I've got a cheap Swiss army type knife I carry because of my handicap. Useful, but hardly essential.

Maybe you should use a blender next time.

Damned near everything. I’m amazed that people who don’t carry pocket knives manage to get anything done.

Here's a short list.

I can't imagine life without a pocket knife. Truly a universal tool. Swiss Army is the way to go. I was walking the dog this morning and she was drifting around. I almost tripped on her, and jammed the back of my hand into a neighbor's cactus. I must've got 50+ spines stuck in me.  Dodgy I managed to pluck most with my fingers, but one broke off short and I had to use tweezers. Took three tries, and the third tweeze was from my SA knife.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Those are excellent uses for knives, it's just not obvious how having a pocket version you carry with you is required.

I have several utility knives at each station throughout the kitchen and living room. Yes, handy. Portable? No.
