Checking coverage of Hurricane Erin as she is going to make one unholy mess of the place where I was born. I don't have much family there anymore and it's changed a LOT, but I still hate to see this. Water is already to the highway in the town where I was born and high tide is a couple hours away.

I just discovered something that I hope to Hell someone else has seen at some point: I went to the toilet and saw a dead mouse just floating in the bowl. Dad doesn’t know what the Hell happened either.



Edit: there is evidently a non-negligible chance that either the mouse is part of a larger infestation, or that it swam up the toilet and died there.
