That was announced a year ago.

I thought the finale was good, except for the last seen. Wife and I are pretending it ended with the fade to black before that last scene.

News tends to always reach me later than it does everyone else, unless someone posts it on the forums for me to view it.

Also, the finale somewhat disappointed me. I wonder if the books ended the same way or if the ending was specially created for the show.
