Where's the patron saint of brevity when you need him?

This is from two popes ago dating back to 1968. Why this was posted now is anyone's guess.

If I had to guess I would suppose that it has to do with pope Frank running his mouth the other day about birth control and shit.

The nazi wing of the church can be expected to go bird shit.

I've got a witch hunter's manual called The Malleus Malficarium which has a bulletin by one of the old popes. I should paste it here since it's just as valid. Papal infallibility and all.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

-Stephen Jay Gould
