Obamacare part 2

RE: Obamacare part 2
I did not read all of the posts, they were way too long but i skimmed over them. Raeven, the mom who watches every bite but is still fat, that was funny, you don't have clue on bodybuilding, here is how it works, eat slightly less than your TDEEs and you will lose weight, no maybe about it. If weight is not lost EATING too much period, but i agree we can't keep track. Creed says i can't outrun cancer, if a person does not smoke lung cancer can be cut down from 50 to 100% this is true many diseases, lifestlye can really mess you up,I am careful about everything in my life so i have taken my chances with out having health insurance for a long long time.

i think everyone should have access to healthcare but it should not be mandated, since it is all i am saying is that people should be responsible for their health but they are not, so a guy like me who never goes to the doctor and never will unless i am in a car accident this is a new tax for me, that's why i am not happy. Liberals like yourselves want to help everyone even if they shit on you, that is where we differ, I think bad behavior should have consequences.

What Obama should explain to me is why it costs $20.00 for a band aid in the emergency room or $3000.00 for an MRI or $40.00 for gauze Control those costs and Health care would be free but Obama just mandates

Say, can we charge people who never get any preventative care or checkups more?

What would your uninsured ass have done if you had a major illness or injury?

...Are you serious? This predates Obama and it has to do with how equipment companies and hospital administrations price things. There was a Times article about it a while ago.

Manowar, I mean no disrespect, but when you are older, life has knocked you around a little more and you realize there are many things that can and will happen to you that are fully beyond your control, you will begin to understand the importance of having social safety nets. Republicans actually once understood this, and I've always figured American Libertarians are just immature Republicans -- so your arguments hold little sway with me. I know one day you will look back on these postings of yours and cringe a little inside.

Personally, I've always thought that having reasonably-priced access to basic health care was something a good, civilized society would do for their citizens. Having many fat-ass lazy friends in the UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Canada -- none of whom would trade their health care systems for ours here in the USA -- confirms my suspicions that we have FUBARed our system here in the USA. Didn't you always think it was stupid that our health care system be tied to WORKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE and was FOR PROFIT? Man, I sure did! I love being self-employed, but since my husband passed away, health care has hulked over me like a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I hope you never get leukemia, need a kidney or get into a horrible accident that is utterly beyond your control. Even super healthy people can need health care.

you bleed too much.

Psykhronic, i know it predates Obama but that it what he should worry about ,why hospitals just pull those prices from their ass

Raeven, You are not listening to me, Anyone who wants health care should have it and if you don't want it you should not have to get it

I can't listen to an argument that makes no sense. You still haven't explained to us how YOU are taking your chances when WE will have to pay for your health care costs if something catastrophic happens to you. You're just a freeloader, so far as I can see.

Indeed. I came down with influenza after Christmas, got pneumonia as a complication, and spent a week in ICU. The bill: over $80,000.

That can happen to anyone.

You won't ever believe me but I will pay for myself no matter what happens. $80.000 for a week in ICU What a corrupt system we have

Man I really love it when people spew shit that they know nothing about, it gives me a reason to feel good about myself, knowing that somewhere out there there is always at least a group of people who know less than I do on at least a topic if not many more.

At least you don't try to hide the fact you're an egocentric individual with zero regard for anyone other than "me me me me me." Doesn't mean you get any respect for that stance except from other egocentric mouth-breathers who share your same me-centric mindset, and those are people who will probably gladly leave you in the shitter should you ever find yourself in it.

Seriously. "I'll pay for myself." Yeah, you clearly aren't aware that a broken arm without insurance will cost you around $12,000. The Invisible Pink Unicorn help you if you get an actually serious injury or illness. And enjoy also being given minimal amounts of care when the hospitals see you have no insurance and therefore they have no guarantee you'll be able to pay them and therefore they have no reason to dump extraneous resources on treating you. And you'll STILL end up with tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt.

Yeah. You have fun paying for yourself. ROFLOL

Also, I love how you're whining about people not listening to you when it's been explained rather clearly just why your argument is just plain stupid. "Control the health costs..." is exactly what Obamacare is attempting to do. Hospitals have to eat those costs when uninsured morons like you think "durrr i'll never need dis cuz i runs a lot herpaderp" end up needing intensive care to save their lives or fix problems that can, do, or will disable them and can't pay off the bills for the treatment. There's a reason why you can claim medical bills as tax deductions; because it's an incentive to use that money to instead pay off the hospitals, because the maintenance needed for those extremely complex, precision-geared machines is really high. The premiums for insurance for lawsuits that the hospitals have to pay for malpractice are ridiculously high [and they STILL have to eat most of those costs]. The costs of paying their staff, especially their highly-educated doctors, are extremely high. The electricity costs for all those machines is extraordinarily high. Then, people like you come in, rack up tons of costs, and can never pay them back even a quarter of what is owed them, people on the order of hundreds of thousands if not millions a year, and as a result the hospitals have to charge an arm and a leg to make up for these costs.

Uninsured assholes not paying their fucking bills because they were too stupid and short-sighted to get some god-damn medical coverage is why health care costs are so high, and why insurance companies demand so much for their own premiums in order to cover the rising costs of medical care. You want health care costs to come down? Then stop being one of the uninsured assholes who is just a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up yet another part of a hospital's fiscal assets. Oh, wait, you HAVE to stop being one now! And even if you refuse to, you still have to pay a fine to help cover the costs the government is going to be helping hospitals deal with for people who will still stubbornly refuse to get coverage.

Obamacare is ensuring that like it or not, you no longer can be allowed to be a parasite...something that will inevitably happen at some point in your life or another. You don't like it? Tough shit, you were in the group of people who were part of the problem to begin with. You don't get to complain about it, nor do you have the moral grounding to bitch about the health care industry costing so damn much.

It's a good fucking thing I got insured when I did, too, because if I hadn't, what ended up happening to me a couple months back would've saddled me with a pretty damn hefty medical debt. Instead of owing $10,000, though, I only had to pay $500. Not to mention another $1000 or so for psychiatric and psychological treatments that are now ongoing and likely to be a permanent, necessary staple of my life.
