I completly lack the vocabulary that would be required to explain each and every detail of this over 100 year old bavarian tradition of getting drunk for 2 weeks non stop.

I only was there once and didnt really enjoy it that much.

But for all here who are more interested into what exactly is going on in Bavaria and the rest of Germany during the upcoming 2 weeks there is a nice and long article, translated into English which will explain it to you and show you some details that you might not even thought would be part of this festival:
