the prophet appeals to all ages and nations, not just wiki. That almost sounds vague enough to mean whatever the reader thinks it means.....
Hmmm.....

I think you've got it wrong, snowtracks. That's clearly a poetic way of stating Maxwell's laws of electromagnetism, because electromagnetic radiation spreads out to the heavens, and is used to communicate with objects in the heavens. No mention of the big bang there.

Well clearly this is no poetic allusion. Obviously God is saying, through his psychic scribes, that the Universe was rolled out by Himself as we might let down an awning. The universe, though appearing three dimensional, is actually a two dimensional tapestry painted by the divine Hand to adorn the one and only planet for which He had any concern. That, I think we can all agree, is essentially identical to the big bang theory.
Well played, snowtracks, well played.

Gosh, a christian retrofitting a scientific discovery into a bible passage in order to take undeserved credit for it?!

hey castrol, who put in charge to start commanding?
you know it's in the bible, so stop playing dumb.
Your mother.
If it's so obvious, put that pitiful excuse you have for a brain to work and quote it.
Oh, I see you quoted passages from Isaiah and Jeremiah, both of which make no explicit reference to anything that could even remotely be inferred as the Big Bang.
I am disappoint. I guess you just lied...typical.

I don't remember the big bang in the bible. All I remember was some asshole snapping his fingers and making everything in a week.

You are too sensitive, cupcake. It is not 'our' bible.

That's the way it works, cupcake. You make a claim, you support it with evidence.

No, it isn't. Quote it or STFU.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

Christians, you are right. Atheists don't have a lot of origin questions at our fingertips.
But here's the dirty little secret:
YOU DON'T EITHER.

I'll see your hand and raise you a finger:
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Only the most retarded of people could quote an article that explicitly states why something isn't a hand of a deity in support of why their version of whatever deity it is they worship exists.
