Thanks for the post, a most interesting read.
But you know how these believers are, they'll find a way to shoehorn their damnable "intelligent design" crap into this somehow if it catches on. Only god could have made sure that the right meteors, asteroids, comets and whatever hit the planet at just the right moment in geologic time. So, it proves what we've been saying all along! Odd. When Min made the bayonet comment, my only thought was how that would be an interesting variation on the old sword swallowing act. The only violence then would be if you had a racking cough.
