The Bible was written to measure time in order to know when it was time to sow and harvest. God is timeless with no beginning or end. Where the Bible steps in, is when time could be measured owing to the movements of the celestial bodies, namely, the 'synodic' cycle of the moon. 'Syn' where we get Synagogue and Mount Sinai....yup...astronomical moon cultism trumping judaism.

The Hebrew calendar measures time in 'halakim' which is 3 and 1/3 seconds.

18 halakim to a minute
1080 halakim to an hour
2160 halakim in two hours
25960 halakim in 24 hours

25960 years is also The Great Year - the time it takes the Earth to pass through one complete cycle of the entire zodiac. It takes 2160 years for the Earth to pass through 1 zodiac sign. 72 years to pass 1 degree of the required 30. How often does 72 show up in the Bible or Quran... don't the suicide bombers get to meet up with 72 virgins in heaven? :)

18(1+8)=9
1080(1+8)=9
2160(2+1+6)=9

9 is a holy number, you have 9 holes and are holy whether you like it or not. ;)

108 is also the amount of original elements found in the universe...hmmmmm....

Oh...Stonehenge is 360 degrees(circle) and 60 original stones
