Are Converse shoes comfortable? Never tried one.

I think so. Though they are really flat, so if you want to avoid getting Plantar fasciitis (like I did), get heel pads.

Annoying, slightly painful, but not dangerous. I got rid of it after starting to wear softer shoes with a heel at work and with some stretching.

Love shoes! I can't wear heels much any more which is a shame. I have some that are really cute and barely worn. But thanks to a bad calcium deficiency I have to take some precautions. I have had a few spontaneous breaks in bones in my feet over the last few years so it's best not to wear heels except for very short periods of time. I still hang on to a couple really cute pairs, not because I think I will one day be able to wear them again but because it hurts my heart to part with them.

I love ankle straps so a lot of my shoes have them. I search for cute sandals with ankle straps and grab them whenever I find them. I like funky shoes that other people don't have...some would say I have strange taste in shoes. In my younger hippie days I almost exclusively wore moccasins. Now when the weather is too cold for strappy sandals, I am in my Harley boots. My shoe collection is eclectic and totally me.

I like how ankle straps look but I don't own any. I used to be fattish (where skinny people think you're fat and fat people are offended that you think you're fat), so I avoided shoes that made my legs look fatter. I'm pretty small now but they still make my legs look short . So I still avoid them.

You might be surprised, try some on and see how they look! I got my first pair when I was in my early 20s and still prefer a heel or sandal with an ankle strap many years later. I also like the security of knowing they will stay on my feet.

... May work if they're nude coloured or something. I'll give it a go next time I go shoe shopping

Had a pair of these in my hand yesterday and was going to wear them out of the store (Chuck's are horrible when cold and slushy on the streets).



Alas, didn't have my size. It seems my hands and feet are dimensionally closer to bear paws than human's. Nobody seems to stock wide and I think 10.5 is the most common man's shoe size.

There are a few tricks you can try. Have you seen a podiatrist for advice?
