I guess I don't live in a neighborhood where keeping your door unlocked in the afternoon means a slaughterfest.

It's not uncommon for people around here to leave their doors unlocked. I always lock mine though. There's really nothing to gain from not locking them.

There was a whack job a few years ago that killed several people in his neighborhood somewhere here in the US. He was so crazy he'd walk back to his apartment in broad daylight with the victim's blood all over him.

Killed a pregnant woman in her own house after just walking through the unlocked front door. He only ever entered unlocked houses.

When asked by the police why he didn't try to break into the houses that had locked doors he replied, "Well if the door was locked it meant that you were not welcome."

I often go out - when I do go out - and find I've left the back door unlocked, not to mention a window or two open. Unless Spiderman goes on a crime spree, it doesn't seem all that important on the fourth floor.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Well then.. closest to me is chas in harvard. Makes sense, Atlantic Canada is pretty sparsely populated except a few places.

Hmm; turns out that the closest to me is Nap, about an hour up the M6 in Derby, apparently somewhere between a takeaway called Nads and "the highest paying slots in town".
