There was a study done in another country in northern Europe which showed people with migraines and cluster headaches received 3 months of clarity from their ailment, or a permanent one from just one trip. They are currently is the trials of creating pills that will duplicate these results without the hallucinogenic effects. I do not condone or endorse using this substance, but I know scientifically and through personal experience they help.
You just reminded me that someone once told me her husband went to the doctor about migraines and the doctor recommended LSD. I assume the reasoning is similar.

It feels like only yesterday that Magic Mushrooms were legal here. I remember being in Leicester Square about a week before they were banned and these people were handing out leaflets advertising a shop in Soho that had a massive sale with like 90% off magic mushrooms because they had to get rid of their stock. Had I known then that they could permanently cure migraines I might have taken advantage of the offer! Lol

5-HTP treatment failed, it didn't prevent migraines and after a month of administration it caused high serotonin due to its interaction with Dexedrine. Serotonin levels peaked on day 34, in broad daylight with ocular clonus, light fever and hypervigilence.

Serotonin returned to normal a week after stopping 5-HTP.

RE: Migraine Remedy Question
I count myself lucky that my migraines are pretty mild, although they have been frequent in the past.

I take the herb feverfew on a daily basis, and I now get far fewer migraines than I used to. And when I do, they are even milder than before.

There have been some pretty compelling studies on the effectiveness.

"Feverfew is used as a preventative (or prophylactic) treatment for migraine. A number of people have reported that after taking feverfew their migraines have gradually become less frequent and in a few cases have stopped altogether.

Until recently only a few scientific studies into the use feverfew had been conducted, and those few had been small in scale. However a well designed trial published in 2005 has attested to the efficacy of feverfew as a viable preventative treatment for migraine. "

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
