This may come across as a bit insensitive but didn't drug addicts used to be thinner?

Anyhoo he was a talented actor who made whichever mission impossible film he was in bearable.
A sad loss, but in an Amy Winehouse is dead sort of way. Surprising but not Heath Ledger is dead surprising.

Not really in an Amy Winehouse is dead sort of way. The tabloids weren't writing stories on his awe-inspiring drug intake. He never hid a vial of cocaine in his combover.

I've always thought he was a good actor, but I've only ever seen his movies in which he had smaller roles, like "The Big Lebowski."

Hopefully this will shed some light on drug addiction and the fact that it is a lifelong struggle that never truly disappears.
