Dwarves
I've been trying to figure out what the dwarves are really in Gregory Maguire's Mirror Mirror. My guess is some sort of imps or fey. What do u guys think?

I have no idea what you're talking about, so I'm going to guess they are cybernetic alien ninja pirates.

I thought this was going to be a thread on dwarfism, and maybe your opinion on it, coming from the perspecive of another disability, blindness/hydro. Never saw Mirror Mirror. And Tina Fey has imps?!

The only dwarf I've ever met was a quadropalegic who was nice enough but we didn't have anything in common.

I think the cottage is either part of Faerie or hammer space. Also the dwarves never refer to themselves as dwarves. Only as wanting to be more "human" and wanting their mirror back.

What cottage?! My uncle owns a cottage on Lake Michigan.

It's been so long since I read that book that I really don't remember. Imps come to mind but that may have been from a different part of the story (or maybe even one of his other books)????????

Oh fuck, I went looking for hammer space and found a reference in tvtropes. My day will now be involved with reading tropes. Thanks for that. Smile
