Did the one survivor defy the odds of probability? Sure.

Did he survive because of a magical force-field, teleportation, or an unnaturally impervious skin (a la Colossus from X-Men)? No breaking of the laws of nature then? Nope, not a miracle.

It was a miracle from god... he had extra time to save the one person cause he was on lunch from saving all the starving children that he saves all day everyday. .. god is awesomely horrible!!
