I don't think any woman in her right mind would choose to abort a baby in the end of the second trimester just because the father said he didn't want it. By then she's fallen in love with the baby and has made plans for his/her future. Second or third term abortions should only be preformed if there is a medical problem with the baby and/or mother. You can't just be done with it when you're six months pregnant.

The laws should let people (women) have abortions at will, and let the people decide on thier own.

Well, no. That statement is too broad. I don't think woman should be able to have an abortion at will when the fetus is viable. I think it should be with special circumstances.

Then again, woman who would need to abort in their late trimester tend to be ones who wanted their child anyway, but the fetus is either too deformed to live or is threatening the life of the mother. I don't know any case of late term abortion that is for lack of want of the child. Not saying there are none, but that's not the trend nor reality of the situation.

Plus as Binny stated, by the 3rd trimester you've fallen in love with that child. It's kicking, there's a heartbeat, a brain, developing lungs, etc... The decision for an unwanted child needs to made in the first trimester, so if a father's willingness to be there weighs heavily, 3-4 months notice doesn't cut it.

RE: Abortions
I support retroactive abortion.

I'm still trying to talk my mother into aborting my brother and he's 46 years old.

RE: Abortions
Ah yes, that all makes sense...

Dotard, wow, how far is she into it right now? Why do you want her to abort it?

LOL, I'm sure my oldest son feels that way about his brother. He's not as far along, only 17 years.
