Selfish
So I just finished having a conversation with my friend Becky, we were discussing The Walking Dead. She said I'm sociopathic because I told her if either scenario happened

A: crowd of walkers

I'm ditching her

B: she falls

I won't look back

C: she gets infected

I'm going to poison her soup, then shoot her

This reminds me of....

Quote:Two campers come upon an angry bear. The first says, "I'm glad I wore my running shoes." The second says, "you can't outrun the bear." The first says, "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you."

That's pretty cold to ditch someone just to hopefully buy a little time for yourself. Shooting an infected would probably be a mercy killing.

If I was in a zombie apocalypse, I'd want as many friends as possible to watch my back. Pobably invest in protective wear as well. No more short sleeve shirts. Make for colder climate.

No, no, no, no, no.

I was discussing this with the wife. The Walking Dead are all rotting Zombies. You'd want to go to the warmest climate possible so they would be the ones rotting the fastest.

The ones up north would freeze up in the winter, then when spring thaw came you'd be swarmed anew. They'd keep a lot longer up there.

Maybe you're right. The winter would preserve them, even if it would make it easier to wear jackets and such that protect against bites and scratches. Though it should also make them slower. The heat might do the killing for you, though.

That trust could get you killed.

It's a standing joke that I am as well prepared for a zombie apocalypse as it's possible to be in the UK. I have a substantial store of dried and tinned food in my loft (my pandemic supply), 4 longbows, one recurve bow compound bow, one horsebow, two crossbows a wide selection of martial arts weaponry including a katana and a wide variety of throwing knives, the use of which I am quite proficient in.

Party at mine!

I often consider, quite out aloud - much to the chagrin of my wife - where we would reside during a zombie apocalypse.

I often consider the merits of various locations such as a public house, a school, a supermarket or even our own home.

I will hypothesise about the merits of security, the possibility of resupply, the proximity and volume of residents, etc.

Quite loudly, remember.
