Cool. I found 600 wpm was the most comfortable. Very good for absorbing facts, but I wouldn't read a novel like that.

If there was a way it was synced to your brain so that you could pause the reading occasionally that might help aid with reading comprehension. As far as I can tell all it does now is quickly throw words at you. Even when reading normally we don't read from start to finish non-stop.

Are you talking about spending an 8-hour work day sitting and reading a book?

Or are you reading 400-500 pages in 2 hours?

I read the first five Harry Potter books in 5 days, but I literally got up at 7am and read until 9pm, went to bed and did it again the next day. I wouldn't consider myself a fast reader, I just had the time to sit and read all day.

Wow that's crazy. It has been entirely to long since i've read a book. I could see this software being good if you're in a hurry, but sometimes i like to enjoy the book instead of speeding through it.

It seems like it speeds up the more you read. I swore off buying books at one point because of it.

Ditto, read Needful Things in a day when I was a kid. The 600 wpm was readable for me, but I don't know if I'd want to read like that all the time.

Its amazing - but I wonder about the brain strain of it. I'm playing with the demo at the moment. Currently at 450 wpm and its very comfortable.

This would be so useful for me - I wouldn't read a book like this but the news - that would be great - and a variety of technical articles of various subjects.
