I thought what you call hell just now is commonly called purgatory, and hell is rather equivalent to that there lake of fire! Im confuse!

Purgatory was a Catholic invention meant as a medieval charity drive.

It afforded them an excuse to charge money for "intercessionary" prayers to be said for you.

If you fucked a goat, it would cost a shit load of money to intercede on that one.

Martin Luther came along and objected to that.

Hence Protestants don't really have Purgatory.

True story.
