Prions accumulate mostly in the nervous system, not just brain.
Kuru spread mainly to those who didn't eat mainly the muscle tissues, however due to the proteinaceous nature of the pathogen, it can after a critical point, appear within solution in the pulmonary system and spread to the muscles, making them infectious vectors. Don't fuck with prions. Slave to the Patriarchy no more

I had not heard that, but I presume it's not the same kind of prions. In any case, if they're airborne, not eating people won't do much to stop it. If not for you, I would now be in the 'don't eat people, prions!' camp thanks to the point that Moros made. Hopefully Moros can weigh in on this airborne thing as well. Meanwhile, I will try not to breathe so much.
I would have to go listen to an older podcast to see if I could get a name and study for you, but yes, I'm pretty sure that's what he mentioned.

Why r u guys talking about brains?
Culture = cannibalism = prions invading brains.

Umm ok?
It was a side-note to the conversation. He mentioned cannibalism being stopped because of public health (prions), which is an example of intervention in a cultural practice. We began discussing prions from there.
