The National Park service uses controlled burns to rid forests of underbrush to prevent large fires from starting.

Fires are also deliberately set at times to contain out of control fires by using up their fuel source in a controlled manner.

In this instance that we are talking about , however, it is more about being tired of their silly bullshit and fighting back.

Oh I do love snow. I've just been outside staring up at a 40' flood light watching the snow blow past and every single flake is different. Wonderful.
